Tues. 6/7…. (
Note: someone has asked what tl and pa mean in my notes? PA,
or Passport America
is a membership group that RV parks join up and agree to charge 50% of their
normal rates (w/restrictions). There are
almost 1900 parks in the US
and Canada . These parks are not 5 star resorts and
usually rate 4-5 (out of 10) in amenities.
But it helps them fill up their sites and they work for us for overnights
so we support them.
TL is Trailer Life which is Good Sam’s listing
of campgrounds. Both the pa and tl books (along with a good atlas) are good
places to start to plan our itinerary.
The dinner was good and we sat outside for a while just before
sunset and then I walked Bailey (who found a rabbit to chase!) and then we
settled in to watch America ’s
Got Talent. After that we went to bed.
Wed. 6/8…. (Albuquerque , NM ) Today we
had 223 miles to go to Albuquerque, NM The trip was nice but long.
Rick & Bill stopped for fuel at We stopped at a visitor's center to rest and walk the dogs. And then it was only an hour later that we arrived at Enchanted Trails RV Park (pa $21.25).
We are here for two days. After getting settled in and cleaning up the rig a bit we headed out toAlbuquerque
(about 8 miles from our campground) to Old Town for dinner at La Placita. This has always been a
required stop for us and I was happy when Lydia chose it for her dinner. It was as good as always and I think everyone
enjoyed it as well. The best sopapillas!
After dinner, we walked around the shops a bit. We also went to Camping World
which is right next to our campground and bought a few things. We headed back to crash and watch tv. It’s been a long day!
